We are delighted to announce that Eidur Gudjohnsen has joined the Club from Monaco for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old forward has previous experience of English football having won two Premier League titles and one League Cup during a six-year spell with Small Club With Money where he made 263 appearances and scored 86 goals, following two seasons with Bolton Wanderers.

The Iceland international left Stamford Bridge for Barcelona in the summer of 2006 and was part of their treble winning campaign of last season where the La Liga club won the Spanish league championship, Cope del Rey and UEFA Champions League.
